Here's a great, front row, right side of stage recording of Saturday night's Pat Benatar performance. This is not my recording of the show. I did record with two separate digital recorders but have not done too much with the files yet. I'll upload them (Journey and Loverboy too) soon.
Thanks to "Tapehead2", over on Dime, for uploading her versions of the three concerts.
I'm not a Loverboy fan at all. They have a few good songs I admit, but they were never my cup of tea. I really did want to see Pat Benatar because I like her, she's had some great songs through the years, and she had her original guitarist (i.e. her 30 years married to husband Neil Giraldo) on this tour.
Being a Led Zeppelin music lover, I really liked the way this show ended. Pat Benatar's band played their hit song from the late 1970's, "Heartbreaker", and Neil finished it off by transitioning into Led Zeppelin's famous 1969 song "Heartbreaker". It was not the whole song from Zeppelin of course. But what a way to close out their show :-)

While the venue could've had better sound, it was still good and the concert was great. My buddy, digitaljourney, and I had a great time at the show. And I was glad to have finally seen and heard (not to mention RECORDED) a live Pat Benatar show!
I hope you enjoy the show...

I don't have a lot of time to type the details today, so I'm copying & pasting the original uploader's text file from the download I got it from.

This tour, the "Three Lock Box" LP tour, was my first real introduction to Sammy Hagar's music. There are songs on this 2 DVD set that I haven't heard in 20+ years. It's a great performance, with the 1967/68 red Firebird on stage, and the song selection is superb. It brought back some memories just hearing the tracks :-)
Enjoy the show...

Journey: 2003-06-08 Dallas, TX (FLAC_Bootradr Master AUD_2 CD)
Here's another "new" show I recorded of Journey at the "Classic Rock's Main Event" concert in Dallas. This was one of the Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Journey shows when they all toured together. I did record Styx and REO Speedwagon too (duh!) :-)
I have shared this show on Arrive Alive, a Journey forum, a few years back. So it's not an uncirculated show but it probably is a low circulation one instead.

The Eagles: 1976-11-06 Houston, TX (Pro Shot DVD)
This is a great concert, and it is also a great upgrade to earlier versions of this show that have surfaced. I started out with a 1 CD (audio only) recording of part of this show in the 1990's. I didn't even realize it was on video until about ten years later. And while the video was a great upgrade to the 1 CD audio version I had, and it was the complete show too, it still was not the best quality. This upgrade, which I saw surfacing about two or three years ago, is great. Work has been done to correct the audio and video issue the older copies had. The source this video came from is a lower generation (better) copy than my original video copy too.

The band, as usual, puts on an excellent show. This is reportedly one of the seven 1976 to 1977 Houston Summit shows that were filmed under contracts with the venue. I have a number of these shows (Kansas, Queen, etc) in my collection, and baring if there is any truth to the Led Zeppelin 1977 Houston Summit having been filmed, this is the show from the set of seven I have watched the most.
Between songs, as seen in all of the pro shot earlier versions, there is usually a black screen for up to a minute or two. This isn't the case in just this Houston Summit 1976 The Eagles show. It's the case in all that I have seen. However, in this upgraded copy I've uploaded, someone took the time to add various pictures from The Eagles (audio is still heard on DVD) to fill in the "black gaps".
I hope you enjoy the show...

Journey: 1979-04-18 Tokyo, Japan (FLAC_AUD_2 CD)
Here is an excellent 1979 Japanese tour Journey show I got from a Japanese trader a while back. It is really a great audience recording. And of course, it was (and is) a very good show by the band too.
I have no idea what the lineage is on this show/source, but it sounds like a very low generation copy with good bass and highs so you can enjoy turning it up. I can find no artwork for the show right now, but since it does have a name, I'm wondering if it may be a Gypsy Eye label CD. They put out a number of good Journey shows (I have a few silver CDs from them myself).

This is a great show, and in fact, it was Journey's third and last last show in Tokyo on their Japanese leg of the Evolution 1979 tour. The crowd enjoys the show, but they do not sound very large (like at some other Journey Tokyo shows). The bootlegger does an excellent job of keeping silent, and as always, the Japanese crowd is quiet and respectful during songs. The concert can be turned up loud and has a great mix of bass and high end ranges on instruments and vocals. This one is a must have for Journey fans!
I hope you enjoy the show...

Led Zeppelin: 1969-04-24 San Francisco, CA (FLAC_AUD_1 CD)
This has to be my favorite (at least one of) Led Zeppelin 1969 show. This show has circulated on many labels through the years, but this silver CD House of Elrond "Definitive Remastered Edition" copy is definitely the best sounding source in my opinion. I've heard many other great versions, but they seem to lack some of the low end audio sounds this one has. The full, clean, "being there" audio is the greatest I've heard so far.
I got this silver CD copy around 1998-2000. The record store had CD players in it, and as soon as I checked it out, well; I checked out with it :-)
DETAILS:
Band: Led Zeppelin
Location: San Francisco, California
Venue: Fillmore West

Label: House of Elrond
Title: Fillmore 69 ("Definitive Remastered Edition" on back art and "oh so fine 69" on silver CD)

Type: AUD (there have been reports this was a SB, but I believe it's just an excellent AUD recording with reportedly two microphones on stage)
Artwork: Yes (scanned outer & inner cardboard case artwork and silver CD too)

SETLIST: (keeping same names as on artwork and embedded on silver CD)

Dime Torrent - http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=416170
NOTE: I created a torrent and posted it on Dime. If your a Dime member, you'll know what to do. If not, sign up for a free account and READ THE RULES. Go to http://www.dimeadozen.org for their home page. And remember to keep your sharing ratio at 0.25% or higher so as to not get banned. It's a much faster download almost always! Now, back to the original blog post.
Here are the Dime Contrast Clauses I located for anyone interested in seeing/downloading other versions of this show:
(1) http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=389817 (Dancing Avocado Supreme is a fan released, 2 CD version with one CD being another remastered copy and the second CD being the original master reel > PCM > DAT unedited copy. It sounds great but is missing the lower, more bass sounds compared to this Elrond upload I believe)
(2) http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=389130 (is a KRW_Co master > DAT clone copy. It too sounds great and compares itself to this House of Elrond version I'm uploading. It states there is known lineage for the KRW_Co version)
Since each listener has their own subjective ratings, likes and dislikes, etc; it is hard to sometimes distinguish and discuss what a person may or may not like. But I can definitely say that what I really like about this Elrond version is the full sound, room filling low end (the highs are great too), and overall rich sound this CD has on it.
In older versions of this show that I have, I use to have to severely turn down or even mute the part of the show where John Paul Jones' bass amp or cord starts messing up. But in this copy, you can keep on listening as Plant and Page carry on with their ad lib "You Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover" (still part of "As Long As I Have You" of course). The distortion from earlier copies is gone! This copy makes me feel like I'm right there at the show.
I'm definitely not demeaning any other versions of this show, and some out there may not agree with my assessment of this recording being the best. But I definitely feel that it is. And no matter which version of this show you have or get, they are all excellent!
If you grab (or have) this copy and have made comparisons on it with other recordings of the show, please let me know your opinion. I'm always interested in what others think of the variations of sources, sounds, etc in music. And it might help someone decide whether to download this version or one of the other versions in the contrast clause.
Any way you look at it, if you don't have a copy of 1969-04-24, don't wait another day. You're missing out on an excellent (possibly Peter Grant approved :-)) show from a superb era of Led Zeppelin's history.
Enjoy the show...

Pink Floyd: 1987-11-18 Houston, TX (FLAC_AUD_2 CD)
Here's a very interesting show that it took me right at 25 years to finally find. And thanks to a few friends on Dime, I now have it!
I was at this show with a friend. What a great night that was. While I didn't record the show myself, thankfully, someone in the audience (somewhere) did. This was my first Pink Floyd concert and it was their first tour after the years of battling that had been going on within the band. This was the first tour, "A Momentary Lapse of Reason", without Roger Waters in the band anymore. And it was a spectacular show too.

The seating my friend and I had for this show was astonishing. I know we were dead center on one of the first few rows. However, looking at my ticket it looks confusing. I'm not sure what "Section M" refers to (maybe "Middle"), but I know where we were :-)
It was a miracle that we found our vehicle after the show. We never paid any attention when parking and there was a ton of people, all parked around the venue. I think this was a sold out show too. But by some stroke of luck, we walked out and just happened to walk upon our vehicle (one in a multi-thousand shot). Sitting in traffic, and even afterwards getting on Loop 610, was a nightmare. It was hard enough walking to your car and getting out of the parking lot was next to impossible.
I crack up looking at the $20 price tag on the ticket :-) And those were the days of rising ticket prices too.
A special THANK YOU goes to "led boots" for getting me this 2 CD copy of the show. Every site I looked at that had this show had either dead torrents or no listing at all for the show.
I'm not sure why the last track, "Run Like Hell", has a scratchy sound in it. But there is a skipping type of sound. The song doesn't skip. I'm not really sure what's up with that, but it is the last song too.
Finally getting this show, just short of 25 years later, goes to show that you should never give up on searching for those concerts you attended but didn't record. I knew that one day it would be found out there. And thanks to fellow traders who helped me out, I finally found it!
What a night to remember, and for those who grab this show, I hope you can get close to the enjoyment I had being there.
Enjoy the show...
