SPECIAL NOTICE: Links To ALL Shows On The Site Thru 2017-07-24 @ 6:11 PM CST

This is my first upload I made to the Amazon Drive account after I bought a 15 month account.  This has all of the uploads I have made to this site.  And as my previous post indicates and details, Amazon Drive screwed all of us account holders over by no longer offering unlimited storage after they baited us in with the offer.  I am still upset at Amazon and don't even want to buy anything from or through them at this point.

There are some errors, caused by Amazon's stoneage system of failing uploads and downloads with no messages to let users know, in the Journey folder where complete uploads did not occur for some of the shows.  So look carefully at the files before you decide to download and make sure tracks are not missing.

Here's the real kicker in limitations that Amazon imposed on all users.  You can only download 5 GB at a time.  I believe you can download multiple (I think 5) downloads simultaneously but if they exceed 5 GB then you have to pick and chose what you want to download first and then get the rest next.  On 2 DVD copies or DL DVD's you will need to download 1 DVD at a time (2 DVD sets) or download part of the DL DVD's and then go back and get the rest of it in another download.

Amazon Drive names all files with a name like "Amazondownload.rar" or something similar and zips them with this name.  So you cannot download multiple folders or files into just one folder because each time you start a new download it will have the same name as the last download.  That is until it is unzipped and then whatever I named it (the folder) is there.  You can pick multiple folders and download them at the same time as long as they don't exceed 5 GB at a time.  So if you were to be downloading five 1969 Led Zeppelin shows that were under 1 GB each, it would download them as one file with the Amazon default name.  And when you unzip them the individual folders will all be there.
 

Amazon is cutting off my account since I set it not to renew my account (otherwise I'd be needing $1800 - $2000 a year instead of the $60 they were offering).  The account should be good until June 28th at 6:11 PM Central Standard Time.  Then they will delete my account and files.

I've actually deleted my own files with the exception of the folder named "BBBB Uploads" which has the links to everything on this site (Bootradr's Blind Boot Blog).  A few files I did change up and instead of being two or three links like in their post I made them into one link.  Nothing was uploaded in the zipped format but Amazon dowes zip them up when you download them. Some were uploaded via FileFactory in the past with multiple download links if they were 1 GB or over.  Even smaller files were set up with multiple links in the earlier FileFactory days when the files had to be 200 MB or less per file.  So if you have been trying to get a show but the FileFactory links have gone bad or maybe even one link has gone bad, you will need to download the full show again via Amazon Drive's site.
 

I am looking at other file sharing/storage sites now and trying to find something I can afford to purchase as well as a site that offers the basic features (like file size...Amazon doesn't even tell you how big a download is) and will let me store at least 2 TB or more for a decent rate.  If anyone can recommend a site, please do so in the comments area.  I'd appreciate it.  I want unlimited storage but I'll look at any good deals that offer at least 1 TB or more.  And thanks you!

Be sure to get this stuff quickly because Amazon gives no care or room to make it easier for us.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Amazon's Bait and Switch Scam and Computer Up and Running

After buying an Amazon Drive account the company went and cancelled all unlimited storage accounts. Amazon Drive was not that good to begin with and they left a lot of basic features every other file storage / sharing site I've used had. I was disappointed with the service and how often uploads and downloads failed. I had 15 months, 3 of those were a trial, I had purchased to see if I liked it. But after 2 months Amazon cancelled the unlimited storage and anybody who had not use their three free months got the axe. Those who had been charged because they passed their free trial date were charged and locked into their account that will likely be useless to them if they try to store as much data as I was uploading. It would have cost me over $1,800 a year to upload everything I wanted to and then have links for it. That would have made the price go up from $60 to close to $2,000. I know that Amazon offered this deal knowing what they were going to do. They wanted to bait us with a great price and then switch it to a completely different deal after we got our data uploaded. This is very bad business practice and has made me rethink how I use Amazon in the future. I cancelled my account which was set to renew automatically in less than a month.

I finally was able to get my new SSD drive I've had for 6 months installed and I have been setting up my computer and operating system so that I can use it again and upload more shows to my site here. Unfortunately, I have to find a new file sharing site now and I may just go back to FileFactory, or maybe Mega, depending on the cost. FileFactory only gives a premium user 1 TB of data and they have no mobile device app for being able to upload from a mobile device without creating a Mobile account and pay more. I'm looking around at other file sharing sites right now trying to find one that is affordable and offers the best deal as far as their service and functionality goes.

It shouldn't be much longer and I will have my PC ready to begin uploads again. I have gotten some really great material that I will upload as soon as I start back. This one post is from my mobile device using Google Voice to Text.

So I should be back soon with some new material and uploads. Please keep a lookout and it will not be long.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Changing Links Over Time

As anyone who has been to this site has seen, there has not been any activity since mid last year. I am currently in the process of trying to get back to where I can upload shows and start being active again.

One thing I am doing is switching my file sharing account from FileFactory to Amazon because the price is much better and the speeds are much better as well.

This will take some time and I do have a lot on my plate right now that I am trying to complete. I still do not have my new SSD drive installed, and needless to say, the drive will need to be set up again which will take some time once it is installed.

I may temporarily use Mega and post links here for some material and from a different computer. Either way, I won't be very active until everything is finalized and ready to go.

I hope you will continue to check back and as things get completed the new uploads will be more regular again. I have some links to post for some material I have uploaded to another Led Zeppelin group in the past month. I am currently making this post from my new smartphone and I will be able to do much more as I am able to do it from a computer where I can see things better. I hope to talk to some of you soon. SPECIAL NOTICE: Replacing Bad Drive With SSD Drive/Returning Soon!

Hello Friends,

As it is obvious, I have not been able to do much uploading this year.  I've had a lot going on as I try and stay afloat in this costly world we live in.  I just have not had time to add shows and really have barely downloaded many because of the time constraints (it takes me a while to do this with my vision) and with just normal life in general for a lot of this year.  But that is about to change.

I finally am back to a point where I can start uploading again.  But now my hard drive has failed on my main PC and I am in the process of buying and replacing the drive with a new solid state drive (SSD).  These SSD's last so much longer and have no moving parts to break down.  And they are much, much faster too.  I hope to have everything restored and up and running by sometime next week.  I hate to give a time frame since they never seem to happen like I think they will.  But either way, it won't be much longer.

So if you've enjoyed getting shows here in the past, keep a lookout for new ones real soon.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Mega Site For File Sharing???

Currently, some of the Mega links are working and some are not!

It came to my attention a few days ago that all of the files I have been uploading to the mirror Mega site were also being saved (a third copy) to my PC's "My Documents" folder.  This was not something I wanted since I spent a whole day cleaning up over 300 GB of files.  I did not expect to have to keep a third copy, the first being the files I created and the second being the zipped copy I uploaded with the third being the copy Mega puts into the folder, on my hard drive.  I try to keep my hard drive clean and running good and I have drives for backing up my files.

So after moving my zipped files to their drives and moving the unzipped copies I had created to their drives, I deleted the files Mega put into the folder on my PC.  It removed all of the files from the cloud.  I am not hosting the files.  Mega (like FileFactory) is suppose to be doing this.  I am not the server aka the cloud) these files should be saved and shared from.  So why is this happening.  If I had all of my files I have uploaded here on Mega, I would not have the storage capacity on my 1 TB PC drive to keep them all in the "My Documents/Mega" folder.  It is ridiculous to have to keep an unnecessary, extra copy on my PC.

I will not be using Mega if this is the way it works.  I have looked in every possible spot on the website and the Megasync client and have found no settings that apply to this issue.  If anyone can help and there is a way for me to upload the files as I have been and then delete them off of my own drive (after backing them up on external drives), please let me know.  Leave a comment or make a post over on the Facebook Bootradr's Blind Boot Blog (community group or secret group if you are a member) pages please.  Otherwise, I cannot use Mega to "host" my files and I know it is easier for some of you to download using Mega too.

SPECIAL NOTICE: New Journey RoIO Site Online!

I wanted to take a minute and let Journey fans know that there is a new Journey RoIO site online with a ton of shows.  If you've read any of the Journey posts recently, you may have noticed me mentioning my friend "techtuts" in posts.  He is a huge Journey fan as well and recently started his site DIXIE HIGHWAY.  He is uploading shows and all you have to do to get them (free of course) is register and then download.

One great thing about "techtuts" site is he shares both the unaltered (at least by hum) and remastered copies of the shows he works on.  He also really knows what he is doing when it comes to audio and he has made some vast improvements in many shows already.  He isn't wildly EQ'ing and messing with the audio at all.  He understands and has the knowledge needed to upgrade the audio, he has the software to do it correctly, and I've not heard a show yet he has not made a very noticeable and great improvement on.  He's a very generous guy as well and he is willing to share whatever he can as long as it is not the officially released materials just like this site does.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Re-Uploading Dead Links & Performing Maintenance Over This Weekend!

As many of you know I am legally blind and I sometimes miss messages regarding dead links.  The best way to reach me in a faster and timely fashion is to make a post over on the Bootradr's Blind Boot Blog Community Page.  And if you are a member of the Bootradr's Blind Boot Blog Secret Group (Facebook's terminology), then it is very easy to reach me since that is where I am talking with those of you who've asked to join.  Instructions on how to join are over in the link that contains "Contact Me" as part of the title.  It is above the individual  band links as you scroll down the page and look on your right.

I want to say thank you to those of you who take the time to make comments and reply, say thank you, let me know when a link has a problem, etc.  I am going to try and keep up with comments left better from this point on.

I'm will be in the process of doing PC maintenance and backing up two 4TB drives within the next few days.  And overnight tonight I am trying to re-upload 15 GB of shows that have dead links or partially dead links (some working, some not).  When I wake up tomorrow I will work on updating the pages needing the new links.  If there are any links you have tried contacting me about here on this site but I have not replaced the, the comment area (or the better Facebook method I first mentioned) in this post's comments are is the best place to let me know so I can fix the problems.

Hopefully; and by the end of this weekend, the majority of bad/dead links should be replaced with new links and you can get the shows you were unable to get.  Just remember, if I haven't replied to a comment that you've already made, that indicates I don't know about the links you've reported at this time.  And now is the time to let me know.

I'm not taking on any new requests right now either due to the large number of requests I already have and the need to get the maintenance and backups done.  But I will be taking requests again soon.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Updating Links & New Shows Coming Soon

As I've mentioned already, I've not had the time to work on my page the last couple of months.  But all that is changing and new shows will be uploaded before next week.  Wow, come to think of it today and tomorrow are the last two days Led Zeppelin played in the USA 38 years ago (1977).

Anyhow, I've had a lot of PM's on my Facebook page, e-mails, etc, etc over the last few months about dead links.  And this morning I am trying to fix a lot of the ones I know are bad.  However; there are some I've lost track of too.

SPECIAL NOTICE: I'll Be Returning With Uploads Soon

This last month has been chaos for me and I have had a lot going on and just have not had the time to upload shows or really even think about music much.  And I am still busy right now but I wanted to post an update letting you know I'll be back with some new material withing a few weeks (and possibly some even sooner).

I plan to upload each night of the Earl's Court five nights of shows for sure which start on 5/17 and go through 5/25 (their anniversaries).  But if I can get things straightened out and caught up before then, I'll upload some more material before Earl's Court.

I haven't disappeared.  I just haven't had time and have had much more important things I'm having to deal with in life that are still ongoing.  And once they're taken care of, then I'll be back to pick up on sharing shows...

SPECIAL NOTICE: Bootradr's Blind Boot Blog On Facebook

I'm trying something new and I've started a Facebook page for this site.  I don't know if I will keep the Facebook site, how long I may keep it going, or just what to expect from it yet.  But if it goes well, I think it could be a helpful tool.  And it gives those of you interested (and myself too) a way to be in contact or ask questions.

As many of you may know, I am legally blind.  So there will be times when I will be slow to answer, respond, or even catch up.  And I likely will miss things at times.  So never take it personally if I miss something.  And don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask or post something again.

Part of what got me to thinking of doing this is a recent loss of a lot of my e-mails by my internet service provider.  I'm still trying to get them back (or the ISP says they are), but I'm not counting on it happening anymore either.  I lost contact with a number of people because I (a) didn't have my e-mail addresses backed up and (b) never really worried about or thought this could happen.  And since e-mail is kind of "outdated" nowadays, I thought Facebook might be a great way to stay in contact as well as a few other modern methods.  I'm not wanting to get too many things I have to check each day going.  But after I see how this Facebook adventure works, I might start using my Twitter and other services too?

If things go well with the Facebook site, I'll keep it going and it will work great as a conduit or line of communication.  I'm still in the process of setting the account up right and it may be a few days before I decide on how I want it to work.  But I'm open to ideas and ways you think the site can be useful and helpful too.  So please don't be afraid to post questions or comments.  Just please help keep it clean and something respectable.  And of course, make sure to keep it legal too!

SPECIAL NOTICE: Here We Go Again!!! Hotfile Shut Down By US Governmement

2015-01-14 UPDATE: Hot file had been doing and allowing illegal materials on the website so that is why they were shut down.  I still have a ton of Hotfile links in my older posts, but as I get to them I delete them.  You just never really know what your file sharing site is doing or allowing in reality.  If you have a reason to be suspicious of a site, which I did NOT at the time I signed up for a Premium Account on Hotfile, I recommend not ever getting a paid account with that site.  I'm looking at other mirror sites still and hope to eventually have another site or two for using as mirrors and uploading the shows to also.  But things are tight lately, so I have no idea when this might be or even if it will be.

This is really getting old!  It appears that the United States government has shut down Hotfile for whatever reasons not explained on Hotfile's website.  Wheter Hotfile was doing anything illegal or not, I don't know right now.  But they have been shut down and that means all of my Hotfile links will no longer work.  Keep your fingers crossed they don't shut down all file sharing sites.

I'm going out of town for a while and will look into another backup file sharing site once I get home.  But until then, I no longer have a backup site.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I'm ticked by either the federal government's ignorance or by Hotfile letting illegal material (copyrighted I'm guessing) on their site.

I make zero dollars with this site, I block advertising, and I ask for no money ever.  So, not being a person who can just pick a new site every time one gets shut down, it may be a while before I can budget a new backup site in?

But one thing is for sure.  Nothing will ever stop me or the many other legal sharing traders/collectors from continuing on.  We will continue sharing and trading even if we have to go back to doing it by mail in the long run...

SPECIAL NOTICE: MediaFire Ripped Me Off & Has Been Dropped & I Now Use Hotfile & FileFactory Links ONLY!!!

It's taken me five days of uploading, updating, san sorting; but all entries now have their respective Hotfile links (replacing the horrible MediFire links) and updated FileFactory mirror links too.

Hotfile is very "free user friendly" and that is one reason I went with them as one of my two storage/file sharing sites

I STRONGLY recommend never buying or using MediaFire accounts for your uploading and file sharing needs.  They are targeting users like us that share our legal and legitimate files.  LaChandra, the one and I believe only MediaFire Customer Support person, told me this.  If I were to share my e-mail corespondence with MediaFire here, everyone would be completely shocked by how wishy-washy they've been and how they scam users who buy Premium Accounts.  And MediaFire will not refund any money to a user after they drop them (without any warning I might add).  MediaFire does not conduct itself as a reputable business and will roll right over you without even treating you politely before they do it.

Anyhow, I've gone through each entry tonight and checked every link and everything has been updated and is working fine.  So, as of 2013-03-30, ALL links are working and their mirror site links are all working too...
