Journey: 1983-07-21 Norman, OK (FLAC_SB/FM_2 CD)

Here is an excellent 1983 Journey show from an Oklahoma concert that has been aired over FM radio through the years.  This copy is superb in sound quality.  I've had a number of copies, most incomplete, of this show through the years.  But this copy is by far the best and it is complete.

This is probably a pre-FM version of this show from the master source.  It does not appear to be an FM "off-air" recording from someone recording the FM transmission/broadcast of the show.  Most, if not all, earlier version of this show were "home recorded", incomplete (many times only parts of a show are broadcast) copies from radio stations broadcasting the concert throughout the years and people at home recording them.  That is not likely the case here (as you will hear).

Survivor: 1985 Tokyo, Japan (Pro Shot DVD)

Here's another Japan show from Survivor in Tokyo in 1985.  This one is an out of print show no longer available (was only available in 1992 for very short period of time).  It's a great quality show, both video-wise and audio-wise, and a great performance.  At the end of the 1985 concert there are a number of Survivor videos too.

Details of this DVD will be updated later when I'm not busy...

Today in Music History: May 28th, XXXX

From a few of my boot vaults; today in music history: NOTE: Led Zeppelin must've loved this date :-)...(1) Led Zeppelin played Vorst/Forest National in Brussels, Belgium (1972), (2) San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, CA (1973), and (3) Capital Centre in Landover, MD (1977).  Other bands that played on this date are (4) Evanescence at the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Holland (2007), (5) and Rush in Offenbach, Germany (1979).  Some dates that were wrongly reported for this day for many years were Journey's Palladium in New York, NY (correct date was 03/25/78) show and their Cominski Park in Chicago, IL (correct date was 08/09/79) show.  I'm working on fixing my search functionality on my list so I'll be able to add every recording I have for each day I report on.  Because; there were many other shows on this day.

And don't forget what today is this year in the USA!  Memorial Day is for remembering the fallen American veterans throughout the history of the United States of America...

Today in Music History: May 24th, XXXX

From a few of my boot vaults; on this day in music history: (1) Feist played at the Paradiso in Amsterdam (2008), (2), Led Zeppelin played at Earl's Court in London, England (1975), (3) Deborah Harry (Blondie) played at Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia, PA (1994), (4) Deep Purple played at Boston Music Hall in Boston, MA (1973), (5) Rush played at Tivoli Garden in Stockholm, Sweden (1979), and (6) Jimi Hendrix played at Radiohuset in Stockholm, Sweden (1969).  What a day 5/24 has been historically.  And there were other concerts from great artists on this day but not in this post too...
