Joan Jett And The Blackhearts: 1984-12-31 New York, NY (DVD_Pro Shot/TV)

This is a really cool capture of a New Year's Eve party in 1984/85.  The times and people both were different in those days and it really shows in this concert MTV aired live on the 1984 New Year's Eve going into 1985 New Year's Day.

I first got this show a number of years back, but over time, my DVD build became corrupted and it also started skipping.  I've kept my eye open for another copy over the years, and to my surprise, I found an upgrade earlier this morning.  This video has a better picture quality than the first (second and third too) version I had of this concert.  I really enjoy this show for the music, the time period, and the whole packaged deal.

I've always liked Joan Jett from the time I first heard "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" and "Crimson And Clover" in the early 1980's.  And even though I bought an album or two in those days, I never really listened to her too much until the early to mid 1990's.  She has always been a beautiful female with an awesome voice.  And after she went out on her own in 1980 (I believe 1980), after her run with the band The Runaways, she only got more talented and better with her music.

The first time I saw Joan Jett was around 1990 at a music festival in San Antonio, Texas.  She, and her band too, sounded great.  It was many years before I saw here again at the Richardson, Texas 2006-05-20 Wildflower Festival where she headlined the main stage playing after The Gregg Rolie Band and Loverboy.  Here performance, one I recorded with a Sony MZ70 mini disc recorder and an external Sony ECM-917 microphone from up front on stage right, was an excellent show.  With better recording equipment nowadays, I hope to see her again someday soon.

Even with her short haircut and added tattoos (I don't like tattoos...nothing against anyone that has them, I just don't like them myself) through the years, as well as being in here 50's nowadays, she still has a beautiful face (and body) and an awesome voice that sounds just as great today.  She's still touring today.  In fact, I just got a superb audience recording of a show Joan Jett And The Blackhearts played a few days ago and it sounds like she and her band are still rocking good.

I like how Joan Jett was a child and fan of the 1950's - 1960's songs and how she incorporates them into many of her songs but plays them with a more rock 'n' roll style.  I've seen a few interviews with her where she talks about growing up listening to that music and how much she loves it.  And to this day, she still plays many of the oldies but with the Joan Jett And The Blackhearts style of music and singing.  I like it when an artist sticks by the music they love and keeps listening to it even after almost 40 years of touring and playing songs.  Of course, not all of Joan Jett's songs are from the oldies.  She has been making new music for years and it definitely has the undeniable Joan Jett sound and rockin' to it just like it always has.  By sticking to what she likes, while expanding her music too, I'd bet it is one of the main reasons she and her band can play it today with the sounds of yesterday.

One other thing I like about this show I'm uploading is the old MTV VJ's like Martha Quinn that are in it.  I always had the hots for her growing up.  David Lee Roth, no longer in Van Halen at the time of this show, also comes out on stage at the countdown to the new year.  If you were around in the 1980's and the DVD of the show and the audience clips (as well as ambiance) throughout it doesn't take you back in time, well, I'd be surprised!

I hope you enjoy this New York City live show and the blast from the past it provides those who get it...

Led Zeppelin: 1977-04-27 Cleveland, OH (FLAC_SB Master_3 CD)

Two days and thirty-seven years ago, this excellent concert took place.  This is one of my favorite Led Zeppelin concerts from their 1977 tour too.  This concert, commonly known as Destroyer, was one of my first (maybe the first) silver CD 1977 Led Zeppelin shows I got on CD.  But this upload is not my "The Swingin' Pig" label Destroyer copy of this show.  This source is a copy of the master soundboard from the show and it sounds even better that what I got many, many years ago.

This is the best sounding version (and their are many) of this show I've heard!  Prior to getting this version, I'd considered Winston Remasters' "Dr. Who" to be the best.  But this one is even better.  The "twang" in the bass and guitar strings can even be heard in this soundboard clone version.  You can hear a lot of detail in the instruments that I've never noticed or heard in any other version/copy of this show I've ever listened to over the years.

"No Quarter" has a very solemn sound and style to it in this show.  I use to drive around late at night, after I had first gotten the Swingin' Pig label's version of this show, and cruise by my old stomping grounds where I had good and bad memories when I was younger.  I could put in the CD, turn it up, and it was just a peaceful, memory lane type of feeling I'd get from it as I drove past my first girlfriend's parent's home in Old Town Spring and it would take me back to the days of dating her.

The same goes for the following song, "Ten Years Gone", too.  I like the beginning talk for that song where Plant can't seem to remember what album the song came off of and how he states, "This is one of the tracks from (insert pause as Plant cannot think of the album title)...this is about the first love, the one you never forget, Ten Years Gone."  Just between CD 1's "Since I've Benn Loving You", "No Quarter", and "Ten Years Gone", you have right at (+/-) 40 minutes of music that has always taken me back to the days of my first love, the one I'll never forget, from 31 years (or ten years gone times three) ago.  And to this day, I always have those memories that flood in as I hear these three songs wrapping up CD 1.

I hope you enjoy this superb sounding and performed show, and and I hope it takes you back too, as much as it does for me...

Procol Harum: 1971-04-12 NeYork, NY (FLAC_SB/Pre-FM_1 CD)

This is a superb sounding recording of a classic rock band I have not listened to very much over the years.  In a way, I guess Procol Harum sort of fell between the cracks in my listening?  This recording was a radio broadcast by WPLJ FM 95.5 MHz.  But it was not an off-air recording made by someone recording the broadcast most collectors are certain.  It is a Pre-FM recording almost certainly.  Either way, it is superb in sound and stereo separation too.

As I listen to this show preparing this blog entry, I am really unfamiliar with the songs.  I don't know the band's history or story either.  However, as I'm guessing most people who've listened to the radio through the 1970's (and before or after to a point) know, we've all heard of Procol Harum.  Some are much more familiar with their music I'm sure.  But I feel like a newbie on this one.

I'm guessing this is a British Invasion band from the accent of the singer.  He definitely has the "England" dialect when speaking.  To me, some songs are better than others.  But overall, it's an enjoyable listening experience.

One thing is for sure.  After hearing such a good recording of the band today, I think I'll try a few more of their shows as I come across them.  This was my first and only Procol Harum show that I obtained earlier today.  And now, I'm sharing it with you too.  See what you think?

Led zeppelin: 1971-08-31 Orlando, FL (FLAC_SB/AUD_2 CD)

To me, it's a toss-up between this Empress Valley Supreme Disc (EVSD) version and the Genuine Masters (GM) version of this show as to which is the best.  Both are really excellent recordings; each having their own strong points as well.

I'm uploading the EVSD version today for two reasons.  First, I like the high end audio on this version.  And secondly, I finally got a copy of this version yesterday that hasn't been "fan remastered" version or a version messed with since EVSD put it out years ago.  I have a fan remastered version of this exact label's recording I got a few years ago, but the great high end audio was muffled and it doesn't sound near as good as what the person doing the remastering started their project with (the EVSD release).

I really like this show and the band's performance in it!  They really rock and Page's guitar playing is incredible sounding in this recording.  I'll eventually upload the GM version I'm sure.  GM always does an excellent job on their releases, and what I really want to find to upload is their DVD-A of this show.  But still, and to my ears, this EVSD version is a tie for the best source for this show.

There is one thing I'm sure I've researched before but cannot recall what I found out at the moment.  The artwork shows this as a 4 CD set.  I'm guessing EVSD released this show in two different alterations, but I cannot recall for sure?  I went ahead and did some research (again) but all I could find out is the 4 CD set dates are both still 1971-08-31.  Maybe two of the CD's are the audience recording of the show and the other two CD's are the soundboard and audience mix.  I've only got the Lemon Song label version of the audience recording at this time and it ends with the song "Moby Dick".  So without a better desription or possibly more artwork for the other two CD's, I'm still at a loss.  One last guess is that the 4 CD set is titled "Florida Sunshine" and the 2003 2 CD release and/or its reissue (this upload) is titled "Orlando Magic".  Labels have the tendency to put out box sets with one title and individual releases of what's in the box set with different titles.  And that likely is what happened here.

I hope you enjoy the show...

Led Zeppelin: The Complete British Broadcasting Corporation Radio Sessions (FLAC_SB/FM_4 CD)

This is a superb EVSD release of the BBC broadcasts of Led Zeppelin live between 1969 and 1971.  I'm not reorganizing the build of this upload because it was done right (or at least how I like it) by the original uploader.  In fact, other than the areas I fill in with my own information in this posting and a few spelling errors in the original text file I fixed (on my page only), I'm saving some times and doing a copy and paste of the setlist and details describing what is on each disc.  And I haven't changed a single thing in the file set.  It's just as I got it.  I did test for lossiness and SBE's and there were no issues at all with either of those potential problems.  So, it was already good to go (or upload).

I'm not exactly sure what the true sources of these shows are?  Are they off of the master tapes?  Are they recorded via FM radio broadcasts?  There is no information given regarding the sources.  But from the sound, I have a feeling they came from the BBC master tapes for the most part.  Like I said, I don't know?  But the sound is superb!

One last note here relating to the sources of these recordings is I'm not tagging/labeling these as FM BX (or FM broadcast) at the bottom of my posting where the labels are.  The reason for this is I don't think these are off-air recordings where somebody taped these from their home at the time of broadcast.  I've got versions of most of these shows where that is the case and you can tell by the audio's fidelity as well as the cuts and similar markings indicating that is the case.  Sure, there are some superb FM broadcast shows circulating amongst traders of all kinds of bands.  But the fact that each of these recordings bear no hint of being taped by someone at home, and with such superb sound quality, I really do not think they're "FM BX" or home recordings from off-air broadcasts at all.  If anyone knows more about the source of these recordings EVSD released in this box set, please leave a comment and let us know.

This is the best, complete source compilation for these Led Zeppelin BBC performances I've ever seen.  Even the radio broadcasts of these shows were usually incomplete reportedly back in the days they were broadcast.  For instance, the 1971 Paris Theatre (in London) show cut out the "Minnesota Blues" part in "Whole Lotta Love". These are all excellent recordings of excellent shows from 1969 through 1971 of Led Zeppelin's early radio years as well as the interviews that went along with the programming.  And there are a few extra gems in this 4 disc set too that I'll let you find for yourself :-)

I hope you enjoy this gem...and if you like Led Zeppelin, then I know you will enjoy it...

Here's another excellent Zeppelin show from from 39 years ago.  There are a ton of versions/labels for this show but this one is the best in my opinion.  This is the CD-R ready 44.1 kHz/16 bit FLAC version.  This, and the identical content DVD-A version are likely the definitive editions for this show!

The majority of this show is the Source 1 recording.  Source 2 was used to fill in gaps missing from Source 1 such as those when the master reels (tapes) were being changed.  The information above, as well as the text file from the original uploader, explains things in more detail.  I'm uploading this show just the way I got it.  No additions, removals, or changes have been made at all.

I'm listening to "Since I've Been Loving You" right now and it practically sounds like a soundboard.  I almost listed this show as a soundboard as I was making this post.  This is a superb recording and superb show!  All thanks goes to the people involved in mastering and transferring the two sources as well as those who taped the show 39 years ago.

I hope you enjoy this gem...and if you lie Led Zeppelin, I know you will...

Journey: 1982-04-12 Osaka, Japan (FLAC_AUD_Bootradr Remaster_2 CD)

Here is an excellent sounding show from Journey that was just over 32 years ago.  The only real issue the show had (past tense) was the volume wasn't loud enough.  But I accurately fixed that issue with no audio clipping and it sounds so much nicer now.

I'd planned on doing some other work, such as bringing up Steve Perry's vocals just a little bit, but that is a job that is going to take me a little longer and it's one reason why I didn't upload this show on it's 32nd anniversary too.  It's a future project I will undertake when I feel a little more confident I'm EQ'ing the show correctly.  There are way too many badly EQ'ed shows that get circulated and I don't want this show to become one of them.  Besides, it sounds excellent as it is now anyhow :-)

NOTE: I created a torrent and posted it on Dime.  If your a Dime member, you'll know what to do.  If not, sign up for a free account and READ THE RULES.  Go to http://www.dimeadozen.org for their home page.  And remember to keep your sharing ratio at 0.25% or higher so as to not get banned.  It's a much faster download almost always!  Now, back to the original blog post.

I'm not sure if doing nothing more than using Audacity to amplify the audio is truly considered a remastering or not?  It is an edit to the audio, so I'm calling it a "remaster".  I did NOT EQ anything in this recording being shared here.  There are a few short tape flip type cuts in the show (maybe 2 - 3), but thankfully, the taper was able to do them without missing much audio from the songs at all.

I've always been impressed by the quality of many of the Japanese recordings as well as the politeness of the Japanese crowds as they see shows.  They do have a tendency to clap along with songs at times, but honestly, that doesn't bother me any.  Especially since the Japanese crowds seem to know how to clap in unison and with correct timing.  I guess the combination of good recording equipment along with polite audiences that show their appreciation of the music between songs makes this recording even better.  Had this show been in America, you'd might have heard a bunch of drunks talking through the whole show.  And that might just have been the taper and their friends too.

This show was one of Journey's shows that were wrapping up their Escape tour in Japan.  I'll be uploading a few more 1982 shows, both from Japan and America, as I get the time.
I hope you enjoy this show...

REO Speedwagon: 1981-04-25 Denver, CO (FLAC_SB/FM_1 CD)

This is an excellent FM aired recording of an REO Speedwagon show from Denver in their heyday of 1981.  REO Speedwagon was riding high on the LP Hi Infidelity at this point and a laser disc was even made of this show (most of it).  The laser disc video, a copy I found and bought at a record store locally late last year but have no way to play or transfer it today, was titled Live Infidelity.  I do have an excellent PAL version of it on DVD but have been undecided as to whether to upload and share it or not?

Live Infidelity was released but pulled very soon afterwards.  Most people who were able to buy a copy got it on VHS.  I never have determined why the band and/or record company released and then pulled it because it is a superb video and audio capture of their show.  This FM broadcast, however; is more complete than the video that had a short-lived official release.

Whatever the reason is for the laser disc and VHS becoming out of print (OOP), I'm not sure of the legality yet of sharing it.  I have a feeling it is not a problem or illegal at all.  But until I am sure, I'll hold off on uploading that one.

Thanks goes to "bobobo" once again for making this show available on Dime recently!  He recorded the show off of KILO FM in Colorado Springs back in 1981.

As anyone who has seen an REO Speedwagon show knows, Kevin Cronin, the band's singer, loves to talk between songs.  Sometimes his banter goes on longer than the length of a normal song too.  And one thing I like about this upload/download is the missing parts (songs and banter) that were cut from Live Infidelity are in this recording.  But at the same time, this FM broadcast is also incomplete and is missing some music that is on Live Infidelity too!  I believe that if both sources were combined it would make the complete 1981 Denver show.  Hmmm, sounds like a perfect project doesn't it :-)

If you're an REO fan, this will be a show you should really enjoy.  And if you're not familiar with the band but would like to hear a cross section of their 1970's songs mixed with their 1981 songs that really put them on the charts and made them a household name, then this is the perfect show to check out!

I hope you enjoy this show.  Until next time...

Garbage: 2002-04-10 Cologne, Germany (FLAC_SB/FM_1 CD)

This is a superb sounding recording of a Garbage show from 12 years ago today.  While I don't know a whole lot about this band, I do like their music.  The singer, Shirley Manson, has an excellent voice and stage persona and the band has a very catchy and cool sound too.  There music is sort of a cross between rock music and a newer age music to me.  I've got a number of their shows I've come across and collected but I haven't listened  to most of them yet because I have to be in the right mood for their style.  And I usually like to klnw a little more (actually a lot more) about a band before I try making a post of one of their shows.  But having heard Garbage quite a bit through the years, whether on TV or the radio, and having seen them at Edgefest 2012 and recording their excellent show, I'll go ahead and post another show now of them and learn as I continue on.

I have no idea where or when I got this show.  I normally keep a record and my own lineage from when/where I get a show.  But I have no text file, no copy & paste of the site's information I found it on, and no trail to follow as to where I found it.  I just know I've had it for a while and it sounds excellent!  I did have my list of shows noted as "SB/FM" and it was at the "Palladium" for this one though.  I had to research they lyrics on the web to get the song titles so I could name the tracks also.

I hope you enjoy the concert!  Until next time...

Led Zeppelin: 1977-04-09 Chicago, IL (FLAC_AUD 1st Gen Source 2_1 CD)

This is one of three rare shows I can recall at the time of a Led Zeppelin show cut short due to sickness or weather.  Thirty-seven years ago today, Jimmy Page got sick and this third out of four nights of shows in Chicago was cut short after "Ten Years Gone" (nope, not "Sick Again").  I'm not sure if Jimmy Page puked on stage or just what happened, but the show ended.

Led Zeppelin played Chicago on April 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th in 1977.  And this show, the only one cut short out of the four Chicago 1977 shows, is almost complete as far as the songs go and it is from the 9th.  It's been since last year when I listened to it last and I remember there is a cut in the mid part of "No Quarter" at least, but it is still around 19 minutes long too.

The sound is great on this recording too.  It's nothing spectacular as far a sound goes, but it definitely is great and very enjoyable.  I especially like the sound of "No Quarter" and "Ten Years Gone" even though there is some taper or audience talk in there.  It sounds like "the drugs" are mentioned as well as "taping" and "talking".  Who knows?  I guess you had to have been there and this is as close as most (if not all) of us will ever get to this show.

This is the second source for this show too.  Empress Valley Supreme Disc's "Great Chicago Fire" box set of all 4 night in Chicago in 1977 is the Source 1 recording.  I think this Source 2 recording I'm uploading here may have recently surfaced.  But don't hold me to this.  I do know I just got this 1st generation version last year.  But I don't believe, but again am not sure, a Source 2 recording had been available prior to last year.

I'm making no alterations to this show and am uploading it as I got it!

This is a great sounding audience recording from Led Zeppelin's show that was 44 years ago today.  I've had a few version/labels of this show for some time, but for some reason, I haven't really listened to it much.  Crazy!  As good as the show sounds, I should have heard it many times before.

I hate that this show is not complete.  How can someone record a Led Zeppelin show and not record at least "Dazed And Confused".  But they either didn't record it or they never shared it.  Nevertheless, this is a great show and it really does sound great too.

I was comparing three versions of this show I had readily accessible and I picked this one because Tarantura did a great job on it.  They all had the same tracks too.  The "Tsalikes" 1st generation version was the one I almost when with, but like with yesterday's Raleigh show I uploaded, I like the high end (vocals, guitar, etc frequencies) mix on Tarantura's version.  And It definitely beat out the Cobra label's version in sound too.

This show seems to be one that goes uncirculated or talked about a lot.  It's out there, but it just isn't commonly seen.  That may be part of the reason I haven't paid as much attention to it or listened to it more often over the years of having it.  But as of later today, after taking care of a few things I have to do, I'll be listening to it again for the first time in many years.  And it'll be loud too :-)

I hope you enjoy the show...

Led Zeppelin: 1970-04-08 Raleigh, NC (FLAC_AUD 1st Gen Remaster_2 CD)

This is an excellent recording of Led Zeppelin's show from 44 years ago today.  This version is a remaster of the 1st generation copy originally shared by "Sean The Bootlegger" and it is a group project remaster too.  This show has been available through labels like EVSD for many years now.  But this is a much better copy than any label's version I have heard and it is not over amplified and over driven as the labels many times do to their recordings.  Both this version and the unaltered 1st generation version are the best versions I've heard to date.

And speaking of "date", there seems to be a consensus this show is from 1970-04-08 Raleigh, NC and not 1970-04-07 Charlotte, SC.  It seems there are a few dates and ideas as to what is accurate.  But overall, the date stated as the post's subject line is what is considered to be accurate by most.  The research on the dates and cities are giving me a headache, and even though most everything in this upload has the "4/7" date written on it, 4/8 is the date this was shared as too.

The reason I picked the remastered version to upload is because the songs have a sharper, more vivid high end to them.  It is reportedly unaltered as far as sound goes (no EQ work) according to the text file enclosed in this upload.  The "Sean The Bootlegger" 1st generation version has a different sound (still excellent) and as far as I know they are both from the same first generation source.  However, I haven't fully researched this to confirm it.  The tradeoff in this upload is there is a little more hiss.  But it's not anything that ruins the sound or the show.  Like I mentioned, they both sound excellent but the crisper sound in this upload makes the show a little more enjoyable to me.  The show is a great historical document of Led Zeppelin live 44 years ago today!

I didn't add or take anything away from this upload.  I'm just sharing it the way I got it.  I may start doing this more often as long as there is no need (or better yet, there is a need) to alter the way it's put together.  I'm a little confused as to why there are duplicate checksum files in this version, but oh well?  All they are for is to verify the contents are intact and nothing is missing when downloaded and/or shared for the most part anyhow.  And I did check and verify the contents with the md5 checksum files too before uploading the show as well as check for any sector boundary errors and everything was in perfect shape.

I hope you enjoy the show...

Lynyrd Skynyrd: 1976-03-07 San Francisco, CA (Pro Shot DVD)

Here's an excellent recording and performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd in San Francisco at Winterland Ballroom in 1976.  My two favorite songs, because of the guitar playing primarily, are "T For Texas" and "Freebird".  Watching the three guitarists playing off each other as they moved along in the solos is really incredible.  It's some of the most superb guitar work I've heard so far from this band.

When I created this DVD a few years ago, I didn't have the software I really wanted so I just created this with chapters and no menu figuring I'd recreate the DVD later.  But I never have built a new DVD and I'm happy with the sound and way this one came out too.

This is probably my favorite Skynyrd show.  The band plays incredibly well, and in fact, they sound better to me than they do on the 1975 Winterland DVD I also created (like this one).  I believe that they were one of the rare bands that were getting better each year rather than the opposite.

Looking around yesterday, I realized I'd forgotten about some other unreleased DVD concerts of Skynyrd I have too.  At least two of them are in color video also.  However, this show, as well as the 1975 Winterland and 1977 New Jersey shows, was filmed in black and white.  But it's great looking quality black and white too.  Other than one camera angle with a small burned out pixels area, the video seems flawless to me!

As far as lossiness goes, it's lossy!  That's unfortunate.  But it's from the same source as the Journey (and many other) shows at Winterland and that's Wolfgang's Vault.  At this time, they seem to be the only holders of the master, lossless video.  And it's been this way for years and years.  These shows all come from what is commonly called "Bill Graham's Vault" and were filmed at his venues by the cameras set up to professionally shoot shows at Winterland.

I hope you enjoy this free "free concert"...

Lynyrd Skynyrd: 1976-04-07 Boston, MA (FLAC_AUD Master_2 CD)

This excellent sounding show was recorded 38 years ago tonight by a taper in Boston, Massachusetts.  This show, digitally transferred from the master cassette tapes, really sound excellent too.  I've had it for a few years but have never listened to it myself yet other than on the PC.  But it's easy to tell the sound is great as well as the performance and it seems this is the full concert (with one track cut in) too.

It was about a year and after this concert, on 1977-10-20, Lynyrd Skynyrd's chartered Convair 240 aircraft, one that was operated and maintained out of Addison, Texas, crashed in Mississippi killing three of the band members.  And according to The History Channel's History.com website, the band Aerosmith had looked at this same plane before Lynyrd Skynyrd but had concerns about the flight crew and passed on the aircraft.  That may have very well saved that band's lives?

I got this show off of Dime I believe and the transfer and work on this show we have was done by Steve Hopkins, a person I don't know, but also a name I've come to associate with quality.  So a special thanks goes out to him for this recording!  I'm leaving it "as is" and not doing anything but verifying the files and re-sharing it.

Each time I've heard the song "Freebird" through the years, it always takes me back to my first girlfriend Sheila Marie S.  I recall how I felt as we walked along the seawall in Galveston on the hot 4th of July Summer 198X night too.  She was a runaround, liar, and I was totally in love with her still.  But I knew I had to set her free and move on (even though it wound up being about 6 months later).  As we were walking back to where I'd parked the car, after being at the beach all day, and as the fireworks show was going, the song "Freebird" was blaring loud and clear from someone's vehicle.  This was the days when everyone had or wanted the loudest sound system and had their Kicker box speakers they could remove and put on their car roof, truck bed, or wherever they wanted to and just crank it up.  But as the song was playing on a local radio station, the music was blaring, and she was being distant; I knew it was over.  And this one song can take me back to that day in my youth every time :-)  Those were the days!  And I made it through them just fine :-)

Anyhow, getting back on track now, this is the first Skynyrd show I think I've uploaded here.  I've got a lot more of their shows, both great sounding and horrible sounding recordings, and over time I'll upload a few more.

Even though I never really bought a lot of Lynyrd Skynyrd tapes or CD's growing up, I always liked them.  The modern version of the bad is OK, but it is nothing like the old day band.  Honestly, I don't think I even have any recordings of the more modern version of the band.  I'm not saying they aren't any good.  I'm just saying I like what can not be reproduced and that's the band that died in October of 1977.

If I have time today, I might upload one of two DVD's I have of Skynyrd from 1975 and 1976 at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco.  Like the Journey Winterland DVD I uploaded a few days ago, they're black and white videos but they're better quality too.  And the performances are outstanding.  Especially watching the three guitarists playing off of each other and extending solos and songs beyond any radio version makes these two DVD's a couple of my favorite Skynyrd performances.  Plus, I have another black and white DVD of their last known show to be professionally shot in early October (I believe it's early October) of 1977.  It's called "Final Flight" fittingly.

I hope you enjoy the concert!  Until next time...
