Rush: 1979-01-11 Boston MA (FLAC_AUD Master_2 CD)

This is an excellent audience master recording by Dan Lampinski of the Rush concert in Boston that was 36 years ago today.  Lampinski recorded a lot of Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island shows through the 1970's and 1980's.  He had a friend that helped him get great tickets which in turn led to him being able to get great recordings too.  These shows started being released and cirulating around 2009.

Lampinski was very meticulous about storing his tapes and taking care of them.  Being stored correctly and in a climate controlled environment led to great quality masters as they started surfacing.  From some reading I did on a packet Dan put out to traders, he was unaware of the world of collecting and collectors as well as trading tapes through the years.  He recorded these shows for his own enjoyment.

Once Lampinksi learned of the vast crowd of us out there that collect and record shows and then share them, he started releasing them with the help of some friends doing the digital transferring and other tasks like that as well as others that created artwork for each show.  There are a lot of Lampinski master recordings out there now.  Most I have gotten, but there are still a few I had passed on at the time because I wasn't a fan of the artist.  I wish I'd gone ahead and got each of them just for the sake of completeness and for sharing with others who do like the artists I didn't care for.

All thanks goes to Dan Lampinski and his friends for their generosity shown by sharing Dan's masters with everyone for free!

I hope you enjoy this show from 36 years ago today...
