Led Zeppelin: 1973-01-22 Southampton, England (FLAC_SB/Multitrack_2 CD)

This has to be the best sounding multitrack of this show I have heard.  Liquid Led has a mix that really brings the various instruments and vocals out in this copy of the show.  To me, it beats all of the other multitrack copies I've heard for the Southampton 1973 concert.

Rather than try and explain what multitrack means, I'm posting a link that explains it.  If you have any interest in reading up on what it refers to you can check out this Wikipedia link for details.

When comparing this to the Tarantura, EVSD, Godfather multitrack mixdown, and another multitrack recording or two, I was really happily surprised at how much cleaner this Liquid Led mix was.  All copies sounded excellent.  But to my ears, this one sounded better than all of the others including the copy of the show I uploaded here in the past.  I am a big fan of the Winston Remasters copies of most shows.  He really has an ear for great sound I feel like.  And in the past, the Winston Remasters copy of this 1973-01-22 Southampton show was what I considered to be the best sounding copy.  But I really think Liquid Led's copy, one I recently got I might add, comes out ahead in the end.
All copies will have some variations in various parts of the show where the sound changes (for the better and worse).  This is no fault to the labels or people working on creating the sound we get in a download like this.  This was done at the time the show was recorded and by the original recorders of the show.  You hear the same changes, say a volume fluctuation for instance, in all recordings.

One thing is for sure.  No matter what label or copy of this soundboard you have, unless someone has just ruined it messing around with it, you'll have a great sounding show.

I hope you enjoy the show...
