Led Zeppelin: 1975-01-22 Chicago, IL (FLAC_AUD 1st Gen_2 CD)

After uploading the DVD-A of this show yesterday I got a request for the CD version of the show.  So this is it.  This is from the same first generation audio source and the only real difference is it is CD ready with the CD standard 4431 kHz/16 bit audio rather than the higher quality DVD-A audio which is 48 kHz/24 bit audio.  So whichever you should desire, they're both here now.

LINEAGE:
1st gen cassettes > WAV (96/24) > WAV (44/16) > FLAC 8
> me > TLH > WAV (to test for lossiness) > Audacity (to view waveform, embed metadata/track titles & info, and then to re-encode) > FLAC 8 > TLH (to check for SBE's and create and verify new ffp & md5 files) > you

There is no audio clipping whatsoever in this recording.  In fact, the waveform is really far from reaching the clipping stages and has a lot of room for doing one's own project with the audio if they wanted to.  Personally, I like getting the audio like this because I then have the untouched recording as well as the possibility of working on it and making changes and making a second copy that might suite my sound taste better.  But I like this recording's sound as is.  I listened to the DVD-A last night while doing some work here at home and I enjoyed hearing the show again on its 40th anniversary.

Led Zeppelin left off "When The Levee Breaks" in this show but they kept "How Many More Times" and added "Communication Breakdown" back to this last night in Chicago out of the three in a row they played in 1975.

Plant's voice is still having some issues due to the flu.  But the band pulls off a great sounding show as we know they would.  The recording also sounds evenly mixed throughout the show, a sign of a great recording, and that is always nice.

I hope you enjoy this show..
