Led Zeppelin: 1973-07-10 Milwaukee, WI (FLAC_AUD Master_2 CD)

This is a great master audience recording of one of the Milwaukee 1973 Led Zeppelin shows.  Sadly, it is not complete and the audio changes for the worse when "The Rain Song" is cut.  The song continues on after the small cut but it sounds muffled from that point on.  I've been listening to this show tonight as I have been preparing this upload and it is a very enjoyable experience!

LINEAGE:
Master cassette > DAT(4) > 2 CD-R(4) > EAC (Secure Mode, Offset Corrected) > WAV > FLAC
> pernod > > WAV > EAC/CEP > WAV > CD Wave > WAV > FLAC Frontend > FLAC 8 > me > TLH > WAV (to test for lossiness) > Audacity (to view waveform, embed metadata/track titles & info, and then to re-encode) > FLAC 8 > TLH (to check for SBE's and create and verify new ffp & md5 files) > you

pernod's Notes:
"- Removed micro gap 1:46 into Celebration Day.
- Removed silent gap/glitch 9:59 into No Quarter right after the guitar solo (thanks to jameskg for smoothing out the glitch!) and a micro      repeat at the end of the song.
- Removed 7 seconds of non show related music (actually The Rolling Stones playing Brown Sugar and what sounds like a fragment of Sympathy      For The Devil) 3:45 into The Rain Song at the cut.
- Removed micro repeat at the end of Dazed and Confused right before Stairway To Heaven at the cut.
- Removed a 7 seconds repeat at the cut 11:39 into STH right before Moby Dick.
- Speed corrected - 1%.
- Re-tracked.

Revisions were done with EAC's integrated wave editor, Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition and CD Wave, aiming to get this out in the best shape possible without altering the sound.

This is a clean recording for the most part that lacks a little in the bass end and has a lot of high end frequencies present.  But it still sounds very nice and enjoyable.  Plant's voice is very clean and up front in the recording too.

The tape/recording quality changes drastically at the cut at 3:43 into "The rain Song".  It looks like "pernod" wondered if this may have been the result of a tape misalignment issue?

This recording isn't going to win any awards for quality.  But the waveform has no clipping (nowjere near any), the edits done to fix small errors by "jameskg" and "pernod" help it flow more smoothly, and like I already said; it sounds great and is very enjoyable to listen to.  Like any show, the more you listen the more you're ears adjust to the sound you're hearing and the better it all sounds.  It's just a shame the audio had to degrade and start sounding muffled as the last three tracks (in the recording anyhow) were recorded.

By the way, I have a second generation copy of this show too and it also sounds great (from the same source).  But this master copy definitely sounds better and cleaner.  I can tell a difference.  At times, it can be hard to tell a difference in close copies generation wise.  But this may be a better transfer or something like that because it is better sounding.

I hope you enjoy the show...
