Led Zeppelin: 1972-10-03 Tokyo, Japan (FLAC_Source 1, 2, & 3 Mix_2 CD)

This is an excellent mix of three sources, two of them being from the master tapes, done by "weedwacker" of the second night in Tokyo for Led Zeppelin on their 1972 Japan leg of their tour.  I almost uploaded this copy last year, on its 41st anniversary, but I didn't.  So, here it is on its 42nd anniversary for any and everyone to enjoy!

LINEAGE:
Source 1: LP > DAT(2) > 2 CD-R(3)
Source 2: Master > DAT (0) > 2 CD-R(0)
Source 3: Master > DAT(0) > 2 CD-R(0)

Here are some notes "weedwacker" added to his share:
Complete show minus audience cheering missing on sources used here, no Plantations are missing. Source 1 is from a privately cut acetate and is the only source that contains the complete opening announcement by Goro Itoi. Source 2 is the recording used for the Explosion (Flagge) release. Source 3 is the recording used for the Live At The Big Hall Budokan Hall Oct 3 1972 (TDOLZ) release.

It still amazes me today that we can listen to an excellent sounding concert performed and recorded almost half a century ago!  This is a testament as to how serious Led Zeppelin collectors are about their music and the lengths they will go to in order to preserve and maintain the music and the quality of the music as well.  And it wasn't as easy recording a show 40 years ago either due to large equipment needed to record as well as the threat of getting caught being that your gear might get smashed by whoever found you recording (especially if it was Peter grant).  Those were the days as they say!

I hope you enjoy this show from 42 years ago today...
