John Paul Jones: 2000-03-15 Houston, TX (FLAC_AUD_2 CD)

This is a recording of John Paul Jones during his Texas leg of his Zooma tour in 2000, fourteen years ago today.  I got this disc in trade in 2000.  The show sounds good, but it is over amplified at times especially when the bass and music gets more heavier in sound.  And to top it off, I may have an MPEG (or lossy) source here I just determined after my EAC rip of this show.

As I've stated in previous, uncertain lossy or lossless uploads, Trader's Little Helper is not very reliable when testing for lossiness.  Unless it's an across the board "CDDA" or "MPEG" result, you really have to dig deeper and I still am learning to do that.  In each CD foler I included (as I always do) the TLH CDDA Test text file.  If anyone care to or knows how to do an accurate FA/SA to read the charts and see whether this is a lossy source or not, please do and leave a comment.

This show was one night before I saw John Paul Jones and got to meet him after the show too.  That night's recording I'll be uploading tomorrow most likely with additional details.  And it is an excellent recording done by a friend (another Zeppelin trader/collector) I met that night.  Tune in tomorrow for that show.

I hope you enjoy the concert!  Until next time...

  1. Thank you for all the rare shows I have found on your blog.
I would have been glad to listen to this one as well, but the first link is dead.
