I wish I could find a record of where I got this recording, but unfortunately I can't. So I'm not sure who to thank for it? I do have a partial video of the show too with about 8 songs (some incomplete) if I am remembering right. And that was shared by "No Pride" in the past so maybe this recording came from him too. I just cannot say for sure because the original sharing party did not say who they were in their text file.
I'm not sure who was opening for who in this tour? But Jeff Beck was also playing this night and he sits in on the last track, "Going Down", with the band and plays. From the poster for the show (included) it looks like Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble were the headliners most likely.

The sound in this recording is really excellent and the waveform looks like there is no audio clipping also. It has been months since I have listened to the show and many others have made me forget some of what I might have wanted to say about the sound when I first started trying to get the project together for uploading back then. But I do remember it was a very enjoyable show and even had a soundboard type of sound to it. I also remember the show is not truly "complete" in that there is a cut off before "Superstition" ends and then the next song begins. I'm guessing it was a tape flip that caused that break in the show and is the end of the first disc.
The band sounds wonderful in the show and the crowd noise is not bad at all. Especially when the music is playing. You sometimes hear in low volume people talking as the show is ongoing but the excellent show makes up for those small infringements on it.
The mix is great with the high frequencies and low frequencies being there pretty evenly. The bass is clean and the kind you can feel when the music is turned up too. This is definitely a show any SRV fan should thoroughly enjoy in my opinion. And it is the more complete copy of the show as I mentioned so there are no songs cut out like in other copies circulating.
I hope you enjoy the show...
