These are two superb soundboard recordings from The Yardbirds.  The 1968 show is on CD 1 and the 1967 show is on CD 2.  Even though the two shows are broken up between two discs, they all fit on one disc if you want to burn them that way.

You can hear Page's early Zeppelin coming out in these shows.  He just didn't have John Paul Jones, John Bonham, or Robert Plant to fill in the gaps yet.

It's really interesting thinking what all was going on in the March, and almost into April, concert within The Yardbirds.  Everybody except Jimmy Page was falling out and very soon after the 1968 show being uploaded here the band ended.  According to Wikipedia, The Yardbirds last performance was on 1968-07-07 (or just over three months after the 1968 concert on CD 1).  A few months later, The New Yardbirds (aka Led Zeppelin) were starting out fulfilling Jimmy Page's contractual agreement with The Yardbirds name.  And after that, well, the rest is Led Zeppelin history!
