I have left the file set "as is" in this upload because it was done right. The songs are all titled, the file fingerprint was created, and so was the md5 checksum file. The info file has relevant information and the original sharer fixed any sector boundary errors (SBE's) before they shared this recording. I double checked the SBE's and there were none found thus indicating it was done correctly. I also checked to make sure there were no lossiness properties in the audio files and they came back with 100% CDDA probability (meaning they were never converted to a lossy format such as an mp3). All original files tested with no errors in Trader's Little Helper (TLH) too.
I always enjoy hearing studio jams and outtakes from artists. Whether it be a new or never released song, or many times just the chat and variations in the songs compared to their original releases, it is interesting to hear these sessions as they played out.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was a very talented artist and played from the soul with his blues jams. I hate to hear people compare him to Jimi Hendrix because they were two different people and had two different styles. Many people throughout the years have said SRV was just copying Hendrix, but that isn't the case at all. He admired and loved Hendrix's music, so like any other normal person, he played some of the songs he liked. And he did it very well. But he did it with his own style and was not a Hendrix cover band!
SRV's music, and especially the earlier era to me, has always been very enjoyable because he was so very talented. He was an awesome blues guitarist that played and sang what he felt. And he felt the same way many people do and that's why his music was loved by so many people even after his death in a helicopter crash on August 27th, 1990. But his music lives on through collectors and fans like us and it will continue to do so for a long, long time!
Until next upload...
